all rank after 8th Black will have to be recognized by the advisory council ( which means your diploma will have to have at list 4 signatures from the advisory council for your rank to be legitimate. and that is what Al Tracy wanted, and why he put the advisory council together.

On April 14,2018 the Senior Advisory Council had a meeting and vote to remove Tim Golby from the council and only from the council for non-participation.

UPDATE

On Saturday August 24th, 2018 in the City of Cincinnati, Ohio at 8:00 AM the Tracy Senior Advisory Council met to take up the business of the Council relative to it’s position and authority within the Tracy’s Kenpo Karate Organization. For elucidation see “Tracy System Newsflash Volume 11 No. 1 Summer Edition 2002”. As this is the only documentation by Al Tracy of his ultimate and final wishes for the future of Tracy’s Kenpo it must be taken as his “Last will and testament”, at least with regards to his Kenpo System and the authority of his personally selected Senior Advisory Council.
First order of business the Council voted to accept the August 22 resignations from the Council of Greg Mattson and Rebecca Mornar.
Second, the Council voted not to fill any of the vacant seats on the Council at this time. It is the opinion of the six remaining members that the Organization will be better served at this time by a more streamlined Board that will be able to more quickly implement the policies that will be followed in the conduct of the business of the Council.
Third order of business the Council voted “enthusiastically” to endorse and carry out paragraph 15 of the above mentioned News Flash wherein Grand Master Al Tracy specified, regarding the establishment of his Senior Council “In this manner, there is a lawful and rightful succession of authority, responsibility and leadership. Over the years I have laid the foundation for the Tracy System of Kenpo to remain as originally taught and preserve our system as a true system of self defense.”
GM Tracy continues: “For this reason I have made available:
Video Tapes of:
All the self defense techniques
Katas
All required Basics and supporting material.”
Nowhere in this document, nor in over 55 years of personal conversations that I have had with Al Tracy, does he indicate his preference for a hereditary successor, an elected chairman or the usurpation of a War Lord. He makes it clear that the Business of the Organization will be conducted by his son Mark and his wife Pat. But that the overseeing of the “Tracy System of Kenpo to remain as originally taught” falls to his chosen Senior Advisory Council.
For all these reasons, and many more the Tracy Kenpo Karate Senior Advisory Council establishes the following policies.
The only authorized Tracy Karate Instructional Manuals and Tapes (including DVD’s, and all manner of multi -media), are the Copyright Al and Pat Tracy 1984 materials. Only these materials will be recognized as acceptable curriculum for Tracy Certified Schools.
Those schools established before the 1984 introduction of the authorized Manuals who were and continue to teach out of the original 40 technique Manuals will be grandfathered in as Certified Schools.
No Manuals written, published or offered by anyone else will be considered acceptable curriculum for any Certified Tracy School.
The Authorized tapes and manuals are available only from Pat Tracy at National Headquarters.
To gain status as a legitimate Tracy’s Black Belt one must be registered with National Headquarters. A date and registration number and legitimate Tracy’s diploma will be issued by Pat Tracy.
Though any legitimate Tracy instructor is empowered to promote any of their immediate students to any rank up to one below their own, these individuals will not be recognized by Tracy’s International Studios of Self Defense until registered with National Headquarters and Pat Tracy.
We have restored the “Tracy Kenpo Family of Black Belts” Chart at the Senior Council website at www. https://tracykarate.com, under the tab, Tracy Legacy. It is only accurate up to 2015. We are working with National Headquarters to get it up to date.
This has been the business of the Tracy Karate Senior Advisory Council up to August 24, 2018. Our mandate is clear and we have taken up as a body the mantel laid before us, to accept the “rightful succession of authority, responsibility and leadership” to “preserve our system as a true system of self defense”.
